About the role: GoHealth’s Legal Team is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee and develop a compliance team managing marketing material review and approval while helping support the coordination, execution, and oversight of our company’s compliance program.  In this role you will assist in the compliance efforts of multiple business units and sites, with an emphasis on Medicare-related marketing requirements. You will also be responsible for ongoing compliance with various state and federal regulatory requirements and the associated documentation. This role is great for someone that would like to grow and excel within our legal team as it will report directly to our Corporate Compliance Counsel.  

What you’ll do:

  • Annually plan and manage the compliance marketing review and submission process, including the submission of marketing materials to carriers for review, revision, and finalization as well as preparation for filing with CMS.
  • Direct the organization and maintenance of a comprehensive repository of carrier review processes and expectations, including timing, specific documentation preferences, and communication requirements.
  • Ensure there is appropriate oversight and documentation of all marketing materials used in GoHealth’s operations.
  • Working with internal and external marketing professionals, oversee compliance team efforts to prioritize marketing material submission to carriers, and CMS as required, ensuring timelines are met and compliant materials are approved on time for use in marketing efforts.
  • Assist in due diligence assessments of potential and current agency and marketing partners.
  • Become familiar with and stay up-to-date on applicable laws, regulations and GoHealth policies and procedures as assigned, acting as a resource for employees and stakeholders.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred with 3 years working in the fields of compliance, public policy, health insurance, or health care administration.  Marketing experience is beneficial.
  • Experience in or desire to learn the regulatory frameworks of Medicare and Medicare Supplement, with knowledge of HIPAA, or state marketing, licensing, and data protection requirements a plus
  • Must be an excellent communicator who can work with external partners and department leadership and articulate compliance-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
  • Experience organizing and delegating assignments to team members, as well as experience dealing with prioritization of projects, is required. 
  • Must be able to evaluate contractual and regulatory requirements, understand their impact on the business, and design creative compliance solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including MS Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), is required.
  • Must have the ability to function both independently and as part of a team.
