About the Controller Role

The controller is responsible for protecting our business and safeguarding our assets. In this role, the controller will own all aspects of general ledger accounting, accounts payable, payroll, tax and treasury. This role also has heavy interaction with our parent company, Berkshire Hathaway, preparing financial statements, notes to the financials and information for annual income tax returns. We are looking for a controller that can identify areas to drive efficiency in our processes while reducing risk. The controller should have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex financial issues to varying levels both in and outside finance.
