We're looking for a part-time Customer Support genius (up to 20 hours per week) to join our Customer Support team. You'll be the fourth person on the team, to help keep our masses of creative whirlwinds and clients happy. We're looking for someone whose schedule allows for weekends and some evening work. This position has the potential to grow into a full time position. Every full-time customer service person on our team started with us part-time.

We’re looking for a people-person with superhuman powers. We need someone who can solve problems, do Sherlockian detective work, and ideally a person who groks creativity and creatives. We need a person who listens and empathizes with customers when things don't go right and an apologetic statesman (or woman!) when things go terribly wrong. Teamwork is important at crowdSPRING, so we need someone ready to heed the call and lead when you get tagged in.

We're open to hiring the best person no matter where they are. If you're in Chicago, we'd love for you to work out of our West Loop office. But half our team is remote and based around the world, so we're open to people in Chicago and elsewhere.

This is you:
  • Solving problems and helping folks out is your jam. Yes, your jam.
  • Undying, passionate, over-the-top love affair with all things web.
  • Absolutely, positively outstanding writing skills. Seriously - you have to be a great writer.
  • Great, personable phone skills are a big plus!
  • Hate Mondays? Who doesn’t? That's cool- weekend work may be part of the gig.
  • Interest, curiosity, advanced degree or mild obsession with any/all of the creative arts (graphic design, web design, writing, photography, video, music - anything creative will do).
  • Experience with online communities and social networks is a huge plus.
  • Humble self-confidence and excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for learning and always improving yourself and the team around you.
  • Remote based candidates welcome - although we prefer someone in Chicago, we will hire the best person, no matter where they are (we have many years of experience working with distributed teams).

What you'll do:

  • Attack inbound customer service requests and respond with cat-like reflexes.
  • Provide answers, guidance and cosmic advice to customers who've lost their way.
  • Work with the rest of the team to make sure that our customers are thrilled.
  • Be vocal and fight for the needs of our clients and creatives.
  • Share jokes, life lessons, latest creative endeavors, or even embarrassing family photos with the team.
  • Help the team prepare, plan and launch a complete re-imagining of our site and service. Exciting times!
