As an experienced Java developer on our team you will define architecture to improve our platform and craft our services and infrastructure tools. You are comfortable wearing a different hat every day which can include:

• You bootstrapping a new Spring Boot service
• You designing how we utilize AWS for geographic redundancy
• You brainstorming with the product owner how to realize a feature on the roadmap
• You debating storage engines with your colleagues
• You optimizing machine resources across our Jenkins CI/CD cluster

We love learning new things and we hope you do too. If you have experience working with our tools and languages – great! If not, no worries, you can teach us what you know to shape our stack, tools, and processes. You'll be using these in your work crafting our platform:

• Java 8 and Node.js for constructing server side systems
• RDS MySQL for our main Database
• Docker / Ansible / Jenkins for build and deploy
• AWS for our cloud - S3/ECS/EBS/RDS/Cloudfront/Cloudwatch, API Gateway, Lambda
• Angular.js 2 / SASS / Handlebars for web pages
• JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence, Slack for our SDLC
• Scrum for our development methodology, with no red tape or obstacles to doing the right thing
