Description:
The Manager, Digital Content Marketing is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of all content-related projects which support company objectives. He/she plays a key role in defining requirements and securing content from internal and external resources; acting as a liaison with the technical teams to ensure the content management tools meet the needs of the teams and projects; and developing messaging that communicates the brand voice, follows SEO best practices, and promotes business objectives across a variety of channels, including site, e-mail, PR and social media.
Responsibilities:
Manage content execution
- Ensure copy adheres to the style, tone & voice as outlined in the brand requirements
- Create and maintain style guide(s)
- Provide or manage copy support for promotions & branding across all channels
- Support product, operations and email teams to craft clear, accurate instructional messaging in the booking path
- Create, improve, and oversee processes to acquire content from internal and external resources, ensuring that content flow is efficient and that content quality meets standards and requirements
- Lead social media efforts to boost engagement and sharing on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and YouTube
Landing page strategy & execution
- Contribute to evolution of landing pages to ensure business needs are met from a promotional, SEO and administrative standpoint
- Develop project plan for launch of the new pages and maintenance of existing ones
- Leverage internal and external content to meet SEO, Promotional and Brand objectives
- Provide copy to assist customers at every stage of the ticket buying process, explain new site features and communicate value propositions
Set content strategy & direction
- Design and execute ambitious content strategy aligned with our goals of improving brand engagement, driving viral sharing and SEO link-building and ranking
- Work with various business stakeholders, including SEO, Product, Operations and others, to understand strategic content goals and help ensure that content team's deliverables meet them
- Lead efforts to execute against strategy, including identifying potential 3rd party content deals
- Manage content budget
- Provide copy to assist customers at every stage of the ticket buying process, explain new site features and communicate value propositions
- Coordinate with legal to ensure compliance for copy and content
Testing & reporting
- Develop test plans to drive organic traffic, stimulate new and repeat purchase, and improve customer experience
- Report results to global team and integrate findings into content strategy
Improve operational efficiency
- Work with technical teams to help define requirements for tools and systems, including CMS and other content and reporting tools; work with technical and product teams to help test those tools and processes
- Help oversee content workflows and tracking, editing and loading using various instances of CMS and other tools
Social Media strategy and execution
- Oversee and manage content development and execution for owned social media assets
- Collaborate with PR on social media influencer strategies
- Drive increased follows, shares and overall engagement with our social presence
Required Qualifications:
- 5-7 years’ experience developing and managing content and production for high traffic websites
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing or related field
- SEO and Social Media experience necessary
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Advanced knowledge of HTML, CMS systems and blogging platforms required; Wordpress experience preferred
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Proven track record contract negotiation & vendor management
- Comfortable making decisions & working under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with reading products requirements & wireframes
- Ability to translate the strategic goals of a project into efficient processes & quality content
