What You Do:

As Director of Customer Value, you will collaborate with the Uptake Energy leadership team and key Uptake technology leaders to define and create a world-class customer experience and maximize value for Uptake Energy partners and customers. This is a highly visible role, and an opportunity to work with senior Uptake executives to shape the operations and execution of the fast-growing Energy business unit as we build to global scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine how to define, improve, and demonstrate business value for customers, and develop tools and processes to ensure customers are realizing the greatest possible business value from Uptake products and services
  • Standardize and improve on rapid configuration and deployment process of Uptake Energy products, in close collaboration with Uptake teams such as Product, Engineering, Data Science, and industry Subject Matter Experts
  • Curate and manage a world-class customer experience throughout the lifecycle of a post-sales relationship, working closely with Uptake teams such as UX and Customer Service
  • Monitor compliance with contract provisions and clauses, informing internal stakeholders of identified risks and leading mitigation strategies to anticipate and address customer concerns
  • Facilitate content of customer advisory councils and maintain industry relationships to better understand the needs of Uptake partners and customers
  • Own and improve customer renewal and expansion for major accounts, including identifying new high-value opportunities outside Uptake’s current capabilities
  • As the Energy business unit expands, build and lead a lean, tenacious Customer Value team

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial operations leader comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a rapidly expanding technology organization.

 

  • At least 15 years experience in the Energy industry, including operational and/or account management experience
  • A player/coach with a collaborative mindset, and a record of building successful relationships, as well as designing and leading strategies to create business value
  • Driven self-starter with ability to work under minimal supervision and learn complex concepts and domains quickly
  • Strong project management skills, including a proven ability to think through all aspects of a complex process, manage long-term projects, and multitask
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt to the changing requirements of a growth company
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in the wind industry highly desirable
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, sense of humor, and the passion to help create the energy system of the future
