We have an amazing new opportunity to join Eved as our first-ever Director of Merchant Services.  This role reports into the SVP, Client Solutions and is based in our Chicago office.

 

Eved is the industry’s leading event commerce platform, connecting buyers and sellers of event services.  The buyers on our platform represent billions in spend annually in meetings and events and include global Fortune 500 companies and the world’s leading event companies.  The sellers on our platform span the spectrum from global hotel chains to national ground transportation and AV production companies to local suppliers all around the world.

 

Our Merchant Services team is responsible for the opening of new EvedPay Merchant Accounts.  EvedPay is our proprietary digital payment network wrapped by state-of-the-art software and is the only payment solution purpose-built for the event industry.  The team makes outbound calls to engage new suppliers, elegantly educate them on the value proposition, deftly handle objections and successfully close. 

 

The Director is responsible for managing the overall team and leading them to surpass the defined sales targets.  In addition, this role has responsibility for developing more strategic relationships with key suppliers in the ecosystem, including the major hotel chains, DMC consortia, national suppliers and medical associations and congresses.  With this part of the role, goals would focused on identifying opportunities for improving value, while driving the team’s success by having a more strategic, top-down focus.       

 

The successful candidate will have a proven track record leading outbound telesales teams and surpassing goals. A passion for the industry we serve is a must and experience working with event suppliers a plus.  Knowledge of payment solutions and merchant services would be compelling.
