Earlybird is Chicago's top studio for startup MVPs and early-stage software development. We help non-technical entrepreneurs navigate the challenging process of building innovative new software products.
We don't simply design and develop software. We help founders discover what they should build first. We’re an agile team with pure startup DNA and proven success in developing web/mobile applications, social layers, and online communities.

What we need you to bring:
- Strong ethical backbone
- 2-5 years sales experience, preferably in IT, software, agencies, and/or startups
- 2-5 years spent in customer service roles
- Fluency with digital products
- Willingness to learn, curiosity
- Entrepreneurial DNA, thinking like a founder
The Nitty Gritty:
Position: Director of Sales*, New Product Development
Hiring Timeline: July/August, 2014
Location: Chicago
Experience: 2-5 years
Background: Startups, Consulting, IT Sales, Digital Agencies, Customer Services
Reports to: Head of Operations
Compensation: $50-60k base*, $90-100k at goal, uncapped commission
*Title and base salary depend on experience
Day-To-Day:
- Meeting in person with current and potential clients
- Qualifying and developing leads
- Conducting sales research and developing new channels
- Proposal writing and negotiation
- Providing research and strategic advice for clients
- Representing Earlybird at events during and after business hours
- Building industry relationships and strategic partnerships
