Director, Sales Operations

We are seeking a highly analytical person who is passionate about using behavioral methodologies and data to create realistic insights for our dynamic sales force. Our team -- a dynamic, high-energy group of marketing and sales professionals – is in need of Sales Operations leader who can take our sales initiatives to the next level of impact and relevancy. The candidate must be a self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously with a high level of initiative and a strong sense of accountability, ownership, and urgency.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop behavioral methods to create incentive programs that drive sales performance in key business areas.
  • Leverage customer data (CRM) and automation tools to provide recommendations on who to target for sales initiatives.
  • Implement programs to increase customer retention and acquisition.
  • Identify cross sell and upsell opportunities using segmentation and analysis.
  • Work closely with finance to provide pipeline reporting and forecasting to Sales Management and Executive team.
  • Communicate plans, achievement against plan, pay-outs etc to sales team members
  • Develop, execute and manage an exception management plan
  • Utilize available data to administer and improve territory revenue generation.
  • (This will be on the analytics and measurement side of the house, Analyze commission payouts and determine if plans are effective for driving desired behaviors.
  • Assist in creating sales contest and spiffs to inspire and motivate sales teams.

Education Requirements:

Preferred: Degree in Finance/Economics or MBA

Experience Requirements:

Preferred: 5-7 years’ experience in Sales Operations or Business Development

Other Skills or Certifications:

  • MS Office programs
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and CRM
  • Marketo user is a plus
  • Experience with sales methodologies such as: Miller-Heiman, Sandler, SPIN, etc.
