As an Expansion Team Intern, you'll work on the front lines of growing the host side of our marketplace while developing your operational acumen and customer-facing skills. You'll flex between analysis and action, planning and outreach under the direction of our local teams responsible for launching and growing Peerspace markets. This is an opportunity for meaningful impact and concrete learning in growing a business.
Ideal candidates will have previous professional experience in an entrepreneurial or high-growth environment with clear examples of grit and achievement.
Opportunity
- Solid orientation - we will start the internship program by setting goals for your time with Peerspace, explaining our operational processes, and reviewing internal tools
- Utilize internal data to build reports and create actionable plans with metrics
- Expand the marketplace by researching new potential hosts and conducting outreach
- Plan and manage community events, working as a team to build connections within our host community and with Peerspace
- Develop sales, organizational, and time management skills
Qualifications
- Preference for candidates with focus/coursework in business, marketing, or product management
- Enrolled in Bachelor's degree program from an accredited university
- Experience planning, organizing, or participating in the meetings and events industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills & proficiency with Office or Google Docs
- Strong problem solving skills
- Motivation, drive and a self-starting attitude
- Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
- Good time management with strong organizational skills
This is a paid internship based out of our Chicago office. We are looking for local candidates who can make a 3 month commitment to working at Peerspace.
