About the role
The Financial Analyst II is responsible for financial modeling, forecasting and processing of monthly actual results in a fast-growing technology company. This position reports to the CFO and will work closely with multiple departments at FourKites. Primarily responsibilities include playing a lead role with quarterly, annual and multi-year Company-wide forecast, formulating analysis of financial and operational data to support effective decision-making and large company initiatives. This person will also be involved in review of monthly results for P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
About you
- Work with our client-facing teams to coordinate on customer invoicing and other documentation
- Research, reconcile, and resolve unapplied customer payments
- Enter vendor invoices in our accounting system and prepare payments
- Process and approve employee purchase requests and travel and expense reimbursements
- Analyze data and prepare various financial reports
- Take an active role in process improvement projects with cross-functional departments, including automation, streamlining processes, metrics tracking, enhanced reporting etc.
- Enhance and improve financial planning models for both short-term as well as multi-year forecast horizon
- Develop financial summary presentations for senior executive management and the Board
- Support Management in evaluating financial and strategic impact of new business opportunities including business development strategies, new product and service offerings, technology solutions, and large customer proposals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or equivalent experience
- Understanding of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Intacct, adaptive planning or similar accounting and planning software
- Advanced MS Office skills – particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage financial data in a confidential and professional manner
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
- Proven ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with an attention to detail
Qualifications
- CPA Certified
- 3-5 Years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance, public accounting or Hi-Tech industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Experience in a startup environment
- Experience with data and analytics
