Our Solutions team is responsible for all client engagement activities.  Our client development team works with our existing clients to help them leverage our tools to enhance their go-to-market efforts.  Our business development team is responsible for working/engaging with prospective clients to add them to our rapidly expanding portfolio.

The Position:

The GVP of Client Development will be a key leader of our Solutions Team managing our existing client engagements in the US reporting to our Chief Customer Officer. You will be responsible for managing 3-5 high performing sales executives as well as identifying growth opportunities within a select set of fortune 500 consumer goods clients across the US.  The successful candidate will have strong track record of growing business with existing clients, engaging with senior executives, building team skill and performance, and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced growth environment. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Coaching and leading team in our efforts to strategically position InContext at the Executive level and effectively launch sales campaigns to gain visibility across functional groups including shopper marketing, shopper insight, consumer insight, category management, brand and trade marketing
  • Build account plans that help team/company develop a thorough understanding of the client’s needs and objectives
  • Understand how to leverage technology to change a clients’ go-to-market approach 
  • Build, motivate and develop an high performance team of sales executives 
  • Be a thought leader internally to help the Company develop new capabilities to advance/enhance our value creation capabilities
  • Maintain a strong relationship with multiple cross functional teams to ensure all team members working on a project understand the client’s point of view to help meet their strategic goals
  • Deliver account renewals via increased investment in current and future product / service solutions / offerings
About You: 
  • 15+ Years of solutions sales experience preferably in the consumer goods shopper marketing industry
  • In-depth understanding of common business challenges faced by Consumer packaged goods (CPG), fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and retailers
  • Solid understanding of complexities of CPG companies – how they operate and make decisions – from sales, to category management, to brand and research 
  • Familiarity with market research.  Experience using market research (directly or indirectly) as a solution to solve client’s business issues is a major plus
  • Track record of driving results in a high growth environment
  • Technology savvy and have a passion for helping drive change
  • Experience developing high performing sales teams 
  • An innate sense of curiosity and entrepreneurship, along with a desire to independently solve business challenges with customized solutions
  • Strong network of contacts in the CPG industry is a big plus
