As an HR Associate, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service to all kCura team members. You will assist with the HR program administration including all benefits and retirement programs, payroll and HR systems. The HR Associate works under steady direction of managers and senior team members.

Responsibilities

• Delivers excellent customer service experiences related to HR, benefits, payroll and HR systems to all kCura team members
• Educates and refers team members to appropriate tools and resources to improve the employee experience
• Identifies, recommends, develops and implements process improvements based on customer feedback and input
• Escalates issues to manager and senior team members, provides appropriate information and detail in order to get direction and guidance
• Thoroughly researches and responds to escalated issues, questions and requests from team members
• Administers benefit and payroll programs by following defined processes, updating appropriate systems, and resolving issues
• Respond to administrative HR and employment verification requests
• Assist in the development, execution, and communication of benefit and wellness programs
• Create content for new hire orientation for benefits and payroll
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with benefit plan carriers to ensure excellent performance; work with vendors to ensure kCura is utilizing available technology to streamline and automate processes
• Provide assistance in annual year-end process for benefits, compensation, and payroll; coordinate activities and materials for annual employee benefit open enrollment
• Functions as a subject matter expert in kCura HR processes and policies
• Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related discipline, or at least one year of HR experience including benefits, payroll, and HR systems
• Previous customer service experience
• Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with a strong attention to detail

 

Preferred Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations and legislation (e.g., PPACA, ERISA, IRS, DOL, FMLA, ADAA, COBRA, HIPAA)
• Knowledge of technical aspects of benefits administration (e.g., discrimination testing and government reporting obligations)
• Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) preferred
