WHAT YOU DO:

The Campus Recruiting Lead is responsible for owning the logistics and performance of campus/university recruitment efforts in alignment with the campus recruiting strategy. This position represents the front-line interaction at our targeted universities for all matters relating to recruiting and brand development on these campuses. You will also act as a recruiting ‘consultant’ to ensure that the overall effort is effective at attracting the best and brightest students. You must be collaboration-centric and use your expertise on recruiting matters to add value to the process. This role demands that you work closely with the business, candidates, and members of the university community to help deliver a repeatable, scalable, and successful program here at Uptake. You will also run the intern program over the summer to ensure that each intern has a successful and fun Uptake experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall creation of a formal internship and entry-level program through the development of appropriate content and educational topics
  • Create and manage the summer internship program
  • Establish and maintain relationships with prime data science/analytics/engineering driven colleges
  • Full-cycle recruitment of interns and entry level candidates for Data Science, Full Stack Engineers, Mission Verticals (Healthcare, Aviation, Energy, Ag/Construction, Manufacturing), Product Development, Corporate Development and Designers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts at target schools including academic faculty, career services, development offices, and student organizations
  • Analyze progress and results at assigned schools, identify best practices and develop strategic recommendations for future recruiting.
  • Manage relationships with organizations that provide us diverse interns such as Upkey and Thurgood Marshall College Foundation
  • You will be required to travel during peak campus recruiting season (Sept-Nov) and whenever necessary

Qualifications:

  • You have 3+ years of campus recruiting experience
  • You are a professional multitasker and excel in your communication skills
  • You are a networker; you love meeting new people and maintaining relationships
  • You have built and/or been a part of a successful campus recruiting strategy
  • You have experience working a full desk in recruiting, from the initial outreach to offer
  • You are creative, entrepreneurial and always maintain a positive attitude!

Location

We are located in River North just right off the Chicago Brown Line stop. We also provide you with a free shuttle service to/from Ogilvie and Union.
