Job Description

The lead generation representative plays a leading role in achieving ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. We are looking for a candidate with a go-getter attitude who isn’t afraid to jump on the phone and promote all that Codifyd has to offer. Through cold calling and chasing inbound leads, the lead generation representative evangelizes the power of digital commerce content and its impact on revenue results in order to schedule sales meetings with target organizations. This is a great opportunity for entry-level professionals or recent college grads to get their foot in the door and work in an exciting, fast-paced industry.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities, qualify leads, contact target organizations, and schedule meetings for sales team and senior management through cold calling
  • Follow up on leads generated from marketing activities with the goal of generating qualified opportunities
  • Update, manage, and develop leads in Salesforce.com
  • Scouting for contacts on LinkedIn, researching and focusing on the right ones to turn a cold call into something pleasant and informative
  • Collaborate with sales team to develop and penetrate new accounts
  • Represent Codifyd’s brand, voice, and value proposition in the marketplace
  • Use crafty written and verbal communication to appeal to prospective clients
  • Generate results by effectively leveraging resources such as social networks and third-party data resources

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 0 to 3 years of direct work experience as a lead generation representative, business development representative, inside sales representative, or other sales/telesales capacity
  • Proven cold-calling and appointment-setting skills: planning, organizational skills and professional persistence
  • Ability to quickly develop rapport and professional relationships with prospects
  • Superior listening, verbal, and written skills: ability to understand prospects’ needs; communicate in a relaxed, yet professional manner; and create clear, engaging messages in emails
  • Ability to respond to objections and to reevaluate approach when told “no”
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and determined with a professional, collaborative attitude
  • Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce.com
  • Experience using social networks and third-party data resources for research and connections
