Manager, Business Development

The Manager, Business Development is an ambassador of our mission to partner with innovative companies seeking to solve their most meaningful and critical problems using Uptake’s predictive analytics platform for the industrial internet.
Using your experience, connections, creativity, and entrepreneurial drive, you will identify opportunities for Uptake to unlock massive opportunities to disrupt and shape industries and channels. You will connect the dots by selecting the right customers and partners to go to market. You will relentlessly carry the message of Uptake out into the field using the force of your personality and your ideas.
Some of the things you may find yourself doing:
- Provide original research and thought leadership to inspire the creation of end-state solutions that capture business value
- Communicate and quantify the value of Uptake’s solutions to customer stakeholders
- Work with Uptake’s product and data science team to quickly prototype solutions and establish the “art of the possible”
- Help envision a clear go-to-market strategy based on Uptake technologies for our customers and partners
- BS/MS with a preferred concentration in Engineering or , MBA desirable
- Extensive experience in a business development role
- Solid understanding of concepts and technologies behind Big Data Analytics, Predictive Analytics, Predictive Maintenance, and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)
- Domain expertise in one or many of the industry areas of focus for Uptake: Healthcare, Transportation, Mining, Energy, Construction, Agriculture, and Insurance
