What You'll Do:

The Manager of the EBC will be responsible for setting and managing the strategy for the EBC to create/maintain relevant information and briefings for potential clients, executives, and top decision-makers. This role will be operationally responsible for all aspects of the EBC functions, helping to design an exceptional, productive customer journey that best serves the objectives to inform and increase interest in – and ultimately sales of - Uptake’s product. The Manager will oversee a small team dedicated to briefings, special events, and tours at the Uptake Executive Briefing Center. This role will have high visibility and work closely with the senior leadership of Uptake.

Responsibilities

  • Launch, build and operate Uptake’s EBC for all sales, marketing and communications needs
  • Align the EBC strategy to the overall commercial and sales strategy
  • Work cross-functionally with EBC team, sales, business development, marketing, product and executive teams to coordinate on an all aspects of the briefing or event (development of all content, curated speakers, and overall structure of the EBC programming)
  • Work with EBC team and Uptake Facilities to manage/operate the EBC Space at a high-functioning level
  • Coordinate, host and serve as the main point person for all events, briefings, and
  • Oversee the post-briefing follow up with all relevant stakeholders, encompassing analysis and reporting of all metrics and information gathered from briefings, delegating ownership of next steps
  • Oversee the ongoing reporting systems, with weekly and quarterly reporting on metrics and key performance indicators for the EBC

Qualifications

  • Superb written and verbal communication, and proven track record in well-executed research and the creation of briefings
  • Event management/logistics experience and ability to think big-picture as well as understand the importance of the “little things”
  • Experience and strong, proven ability to lead effectively across organizations and manage a team
  • Experience in fast-paced technology companies, and ability to deal with last-minute changes and deadlines while showing grace under pressure
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to speak effectively in front of executive-level customer audiences
  • Willing to do “whatever it takes” in the interest of world class customer and account team experience
  • Project management skills; excellent Microsoft Office and Google product suite skills
  • 10+ years’ experience managing EBC programs at a growing company or similar experience
  • BS degree in business, marketing, or communications; Graduate degree and/or MBA strongly preferred

We are located in River North just right off the Chicago Brown Line stop. We also provide you with a free shuttle service to/from Ogilvie and Union.
