Punchkick has doubled in size each of the last three years, landed on the Inc 5000, and was voted the best place to work in Chicago by the Chicago Business Journal. To date, Punchkick has worked with 19 Fortune 500 organizations. And we’ve only just begun to hit our stride.
What are we looking for?
Mobile is exciting, but making complex technology seem obvious requires a clear and spirited voice. Our business development team works alongside knowledgable and intensely passionate marketing technologists to share exciting visions for the future with our clients. A marketing technologist has two focuses: first, they should have broad and deep understanding of digital technology, and should feel comfortable discussing those complexities with non-technical colleagues and clients. Second, their infectious enthusiasm for technology should help excite clients and prospects about the opportunities on mobile.
Marketing technologists are equal parts Jobs and Wozniak. They deeply understand technology, and their passion shines through in every conversation. They can sell a great idea, but also understand every detail. Marketing technologists help Punchkick bring smarter, more exciting ideas to the table so that we can better help our partners innovate.
Marketing technologists are responsible for:
- Ideating new products alongside technical and sales colleagues.
- Remaining up-to-date on the latest technologies and digital trends.
- Naturally performing deep research into new technologies, and quickly understanding new industries and categories.
- Presenting ideas and sales pitches to clients.
Marketing technologists should:
- Live and breathe technology, and believe in disrupting new industries with transformative mobile experiences.
- Have a technical background, or have an exceptional level of technical proficiency.
- Be comfortable selling, and have the charisma and dynamism to command a room and get people excited.
- Have a strong knowledge of user experience design best practices and processes.
- Thoroughly understand information architecture and the structure of software products.
- Understand steps and processes associated with software development.
