Music Gear Listings Coordinator
Reverb.com is a marketplace for music gear has changed the way musicians buy and sell online. Our site includes an integrated Price Guide for instruments, as well as an active blog and social media presence. We are seeking a gear-crazed musician to curate and manage listings on the site, contribute to our growing content wing, and help turn Reverb into the most trusted, knowledgable and extensive gear resource on the internet.
This is a great role for anyone interested in what goes into building a world-class website. This is an incredible opportunity for anyone who loves music gear and technology, and wants to combine the two in a meaningful and cutting-edge way.
An ideal candidate for this role will apply with an already robust knowledge of the music gear world across many different categories, brands, and eras. Strong writing ability is a must as is an exceptional attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Passion for technology, music, writing, and startup environments.
- High-level understanding of music gear brands and history, including but not limited to guitars, recording, orchestra instruments and more.
- Outstanding writing skills.
- Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple responsibilities related to site content.
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of spreadsheet programs.
- HTML/CSS and knowledge of photo-editing software (Photoshop, Pixelmator) is a major plus.
Responsibilities:
- Examining and curating new listings on the site for standards and content.
- Adding transaction history, images, price estimates and written content to the Reverb Price Guide.
- Developing and writing blogs posts about music gear, culture and more.
- Participating in social media efforts through Facebook, Twitter, and Forums.
- Assisting customers with day-to-day needs through email and occasionally through phone.
- A myriad of other tasks that come from a startup environment and rapidly growing company.
