Sittercity has connected parents with the best babysitters for over ten years. Every day, over 3,000 new sitters join our service to provide the best childcare across the United States. As the Operations Manager, you will oversee customer service for all brands within Sittercity; Sittercity, Years Ahead, and Chime. While Sittercity and Years Ahead are more established, Chime is in start-up mode. In early 2016, Sittercity launched Chime, a new, on-demand babysitting service that's now available in NYC, Chicago, Boston and DC.
You will champion the voice of the customer within the business. You will be responsible for analyzing customer-related data and identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience. You understand how to translate your findings into actionable results.
You are a great leader and coach. You’ll lead by example and create a positive, team-focused environment. You thrive in a team environment and don’t feel like any task is “below” you. You embrace change and are able to help people understand the importance of a particular change.

What you’ll do
- Proactively monitor and analyze customer contact data and trends
- Communicate customer contact trends to the broader business
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects; envision what needs to be built and understand how to build it
- Identify, report, and prioritize customer-facing or admin-facing bugs
- Understand how the level of effort tied to a bug fix, or product development, relates to the ROI
- Oversee the daily operations of Member Services for all brands within Sittercity; Sittercity, Years Ahead, and Chime (hellochime.com)
- Develops and motivates team members on day-to-day operations of Member Services
What you need to do/know/have
- A passion for Sittercity and what we’re all about
- Embrace change (things move super fast here!)
- Self-motivated and have an intense drive for efficiency
- Data-driven decision making mentality
- A willingness to dive into the details
- Ability to multitask while maintaining strong ownership
- 2-5 years of operations/analytical, or related experience
- 1+ year leading a team
- College degree required
