Payment Operations Specialist – Chicago, IL


Full-Time (40 hours a week)


 


ABOUT THE ROLE:


As a Payment Operations Specialist you’ll be accountable for managing member balances and mitigating fraud, all while continuing to provide exceptional customer service. You’ll be on the front lines of this dynamic team and have the opportunity to positively affect our bottom line.


 


WHAT YOU'D DO EVERY DAY:



  • Manage A/R, outstanding trunks and fraud related workloads

  • Collect balances, schedule payments and manage our collections process

  • Attempt to connect with members regarding payments

  • Partner with Member Experience team and UPS on trunk investigations

  • Partner with Finance Operations on order management



  • Update and record interactions and activity within Salesforce

  • Identify and mitigate fraud and sharing trends with stakeholders

  • Master Salesforce and other internal systems to work efficiently and effectively

  • Generate new ideas and processes that will help scale our business

  • Provide world-class customer service even in tough situations

WHAT YOUR BACKGROUND MAY LOOK LIKE:



  • 1-3 years of customer service, retail banking, credit card processing, or A/R collections experience within a call center or retail environment, tier II customer support a plus

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and have intermediate technical skills

  • Tech savvy with experience using Salesforce a plus

  • Experience working in a chaotic environment and working well under pressure

  • Experience solving complex customer problems

  • A track record of having a positive attitude with the ability to adapt quickly to change

  • For consideration you must be available nights and weekends and open to working some holidays

  • We can be flexible around school and second job schedules
