Portfolio & Direct Mail Marketing Lead

These gurus integrate marketing strategies between traditional marketing, SEM, e-mail, direct mail, lead generation and affiliate marketing to pave the way of our products directly to our customers. In this position, you will report directly to the Head of Consumer Marketing to lead marketing initiatives that improve our Direct Mail Acquisition and Portfolio Marketing performance. This will include contributing experience, new knowledge, and advanced capabilities to our direct mail customer acquisition marketing and developing new engagement strategies for existing customer Portfolio Marketing that include direct mail, email, SMS, mobile app marketing, and call programs. You will work across all brands and collaborate with Brand Marketing, Analytics, Creative Services, Tech, Data Services, and external partners to identify and execute projects in an innovative, fast pace environment. A key part of this role will be executing programs and projects that meaningful improve our already quite good capabilities, and then transferring the knowledge gained into businesses around the world.
What you’ll do:
• Marketing Leadership – Demonstrate leadership by applying your knowledge of best practices and current trends in direct mail and portfolio marketing to run campaigns that perform better than the competition.
• Capabilities Management– Manage the partners, processes, and technologies that form our marketing infrastructure and provide the P&L teams world class capabilities including data integration and analysis, reporting, and training.
• Campaign Management – Develop and implement multi-touch automated marketing campaigns and customer communications across businesses using analytics to target different customer segments with tailored campaigns.
• Budgeting and forecasting- Develop budget projections for portfolio marketing and direct mail acquisition, as well as update and forecast results for both channels.
• Best Practices – Benchmark our capabilities against industry leaders and best practices and then develop programs to ensure Enova’s capabilities meet or beat the benchmark. This includes developing and implementing quality checks and processes.
• Reporting and Analytics – Track effectiveness month-to-month of marketing campaigns and tests. Use data and analytics to influence business decisions and support key business strategies. Oversee and manage implementation of automated reporting and monitoring; deliver standardized and ad-hoc reports/dashboards; and work closely with marketing teams to ensure campaigns are efficiently tracked for meaningful reporting.
• Project Management – Translate strategic plans into projects and tasks. Set project plan, prioritize, monitor, deliver on milestones, remove roadblocks and problem solve.
• Communication - Report on goal progress, forecasts, results, challenges, and achievements in a concise and timely manner to all levels of the business.
• Team Mentorship and/or Management -Ability to develop and coach marketing team members to grow their level of contributions and support their advancement within the organization.
• Collaboration- Work cross-functionally with internal departments (legal, marketing analytics, creative services, finance, business intelligence and tech), and partner with marketing program owners and marketing heads to support campaigns and other efforts.
You’re right for this job if you have:
• 5-7+ years relevant experience (direct marketing, e-commerce, portfolio marketing, database marketing)
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Marketing or related field. Masters or MBA a plus
• Knowledge and expertise in direct mail execution and strategy, preferably B2C
• Experience in email, retention and some acquisition marketing
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing projects in a fast-paced, results driven environment through strategic planning, prioritization, and task delegation
• Proven success with managing vendors and business partner relationships
• Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to understand quantitative data and sound problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal. Ability to organize thoughts, as well as communicate professionally and concisely to audiences of different levels
• Previous leadership and people management experience
• Solid Excel experience, SQL experience a plus
