Portfolio Marketing Lead

Reporting to: Director of Consumer Marketing

Location: Chicago Headquarters

 

What you can expect:

In this position, you will report directly to the Head of Consumer Marketing to lead marketing initiatives that improve Portfolio Marketing performance—focusing efforts on returning customers. This will include offering new knowledge and advanced capabilities to our direct mail customer acquisition marketing and developing new engagement strategies for existing customer Portfolio Marketing that include direct mail, email, SMS, mobile app marketing, and call programs. You will work across all brands and collaborate with Brand Marketing, Analytics, Creative Services, Tech, Data Services, and external partners to identify and execute projects in an innovative, fast pace environment. A key part of this role will be executing programs and projects that significantly improve our capabilities, and then transferring the knowledge gained into businesses around the world.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Campaign Management – Develop and implement multi-touch automated marketing campaigns and customer communications across businesses using analytics to target different customer segments with tailored campaigns. Focus on email, SMS, direct mail, and web experience.
  • Capabilities Management– Manage the partners, processes, and technologies that form our marketing infrastructure and provide the P&L teams extraordinary capabilities including data integration and analysis, reporting, and training.
  • Marketing Leadership –Demonstrate leadership by applying your knowledge of methodologies and current trends in direct mail and portfolio marketing to run campaigns that perform better than the competition.
  • Best Practices – Benchmark our capabilities against industry leaders and standard methodologies and then develop programs to ensure Enova’s capabilities meet or beat the benchmark. This includes developing and implementing quality checks and processes.
  • Reporting and Analytics – Track effectiveness month-to-month of marketing campaigns and tests. Use data and analytics to influence business decisions and support key business strategies. Lead implementation of automated reporting and monitoring; deliver standardized and ad-hoc reports/dashboards; and work closely with marketing teams to ensure campaigns are efficiently tracked for substantial reporting.
  • Team Mentorship and/or Management –Ability to develop and coach marketing team members to grow their level of contributions and support their advancement within the organization.

 

You’re right for this job if you have:

  • 5-7+ years relevant experience (direct marketing, e-commerce, portfolio marketing, database marketing)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Marketing or related field. Masters or MBA a plus
  • Knowledge and expertise in email, direct mail and SMS execution and strategy, preferably B2C
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple shifting priorities and projects in a dynamic, results driven environment through strategic planning, prioritization, and task delegation
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to understand quantitative data and use to develop business insights and deliver business results. Sound problem-solving skills
  • Previous leadership and people management experience
  • Solid Excel experience, SQL experience a plus
