About the Opportunity:
Are you passionate about improving business and service processes? Do you love getting into the details of how and why things are done in order to reduce waste, increase efficiency and improve experiences? The Process Improvement Manager is central role within the GrubHub Operations responsible for defining and optimizing our internal processes, collaborating cross-functionally and utilizing sustainable continuous improvement frameworks.
Some Challenges You’ll Tackle:
- Champion the continuous improvement of our delivery services through the application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Own the standard operating procedures for multiple working groups within the operations department.
- Study, learn and diagnose operational processes in order to root cause issues and define improvement opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional projects aimed at implementing operational improvements across the GrubHub Delivery organization to improve SLAs for our diners, cost reductions for the business, and optimize internal processes.
- Partner with our training managers to translate our SOPs into training programs for delivery roles.
- At least 4 years of experience in a Process Improvement role
- Bachelor’s degree required in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Economics, etc.)
- Expert knowledge of using either JMP or Minitab, SAS, SPSS, R, etc.A strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, including statistical data analysis, DMAIC and statistical hypothesis testing.Certified Six Sigma Black Belt from a reputable certifier.
- Facilitated at least 4 large Lean Action Work Outs (AWO).
- The ability to translate theory into practical application.
- Excellent project management skills, including setting and adhering to timelines.
- Experience working across functions and departments to study, diagnose, and implement improvements to operational processes.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills across multiple levels of the organization.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Expert knowledge creating and executing designed experiments
- Experience coaching and mentoring Belts-in-training
