We are currently looking for a talented, highly motivated Procurement Advisor to join our growing procurement team at our Chicago, IL headquarters.

The Procurement Advisor is responsible for:

• The day to day procurement operations of our Procure to Pay (P2P) system (Coupa), this includes training users on P2P best practices and executing procurement process within the system.
• Providing market intelligence, go-to market and negotiation strategy, assessing supplier risk, and engaging in leading procurement practices.
• Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, accounts payable, finance and suppliers to support procurement request and ensure adherence to Trustwave’s Procurement Policy.
• Developing, securing and analyzing RFP/RFQ, recommending suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness.
• Assisting stakeholders and legal with reviewing and developing supplier SLA’s and KPI’s to ensure suppliers are bringing maximum value to Trustwave.
• Resolving delivery, payment, costing and Coupa related issues. Resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and interacts with AP and Finance as required.
• Recommending process improvements, with the ability to independently problem solve and articulate solutions to stakeholders and their senior management.

Desired Skills, Experience & Education

• Professional experience working in a P2P Procurement function, preferably with a strong background in Procurement Operations.
• Navigating the strategic sourcing process, specifically introducing category knowledge and steering project teams.
• Advising and leading commercial negotiations with suppliers, preferably experience negotiating supplier contracts with limited legal interaction.
• Thorough understanding of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) best practices.
• Proven ability to manage all aspects of the supplier relationship, notably analyze and assess supplier risk.
• Exceptional ability to effectively articulate difficult ideas and concepts through clear and concise verbal, written communication and/or presentations.
• An inquisitive self-starter that has a passion for procurement.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business related field such as finance or supply chain.
• CPSM certification is preferred but not required

Education:

We prefer college-educated applicants, but at minimum, high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.
