The Position:
InContext Solutions is growing fast – we are looking to add a new member to our Project Operations team at our Chicago HQ. What is a Project Operations Manager? How is the role any different from every other Project Manager position? Fair question. Picture a Project Manager. Now, give that Project Manager the head of a Business Analyst. Add the guts of an Internal Consultant and the fearlessness of a Client Manager and you have it.
The Project Operations Manager will report to the Director of Project Operations. He or She will be part of the five person Project Operations team and be part of the larger Project Operations and Visualization (POV) Group of ~25 people. Day to day, the Project Operations Manager will work with multiple vendors and cross functional teams including senior members of the Sales, Research, 3D Art, and Technology teams.
Responsibilities:
- Together with our Technology, 3D Visualization and Technical Art teams, you will help drive client delight by coordinating all projects, ensuring flawless delivery
- Drive continuous improvement across the organization
- Push the boundaries of what is possible by uncovering and eliminating challenges that slow the company down, identifying technologies that improve our processes and forming partnerships to increase the value of our products
- Meeting the expectations of our clients who expect consistent quality with each deliverable
- With each iteration, continue to raise the bar on quality, increase the speed of delivery, all without impacting the budget
- 1-3 years of experience, managing complex projects or programs in a SaaS or consulting setting
- Experience with clients in the CPG (Consumer Package Goods), Consumer Electronics, Retail industry experience is a big plus
- Understand the language of, and work with, other teams. If you get anxious in front of a Sales VP or are afraid to ask a software engineer what the words coming out of their mouth actually mean, this isn’t the role for you
