Overview

kCura is a global company with team members who are driven by our customers to build exceptional software for them to use every day. Our product, called Relativity, handles large volumes of data and helps corporations, law firms, and government agencies solve their own unique data problems.

The way we work together is centered on our core values of collaborating, communicating, pushing to exceed expectations (even our own), being humble, and having fun while we do it. We enjoy ourselves, give back, and work (and play) hard together. If this sounds like the place for you, check out the details of this position below.

As part of kCura’s expanding proposal team, the Proposal Writer will support the Proposal Manager in the development of kCura’s responses to RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and other sales-related documents in the corporate, government, or utility sectors.  The Proposal Writer will have a comprehensive knowledge of Relativity and act as a subject matter expert to provide technical responses in all RFx documents.  The Proposal Writer will work under moderate direction of managers and presales team members.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Proposal Department, Relativity Product Managers, and Documentation Team to provide technical responses for proposal documents.
• Interview and collaborate with Relativity subject matter experts to respond to proposal requests
• Review RFx and other solicitation documents to determine proposal requirements
• Participate in proposal strategy meetings to identify and document solutions, win themes, and discriminators.
• Translate and write the technical subject matter of technical proposal documents into easily understandable, process-oriented content that describes functionality and features of all Relativity products.
• Review technical proposal content for clarity, consistency, and responsiveness to RFx requirements
• Work closely with Proposal Manager to develop and finalize both technical and price proposals
• Create and maintain a technical library (database) of Relativity information so that other team members can easily and quickly find answers, text, and responses without involving other proposal team members.
• Collaborate with other proposal writers to maintain an updated general boilerplate library of proposal text.
• Handle the production and delivery of proposals, including printing, formatting, and execution of bid documents with strict attention to submission requirements.
• Provide post-submission support and follow-up, if necessary

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS in English, Marketing, Computer Science, or related discipline, or at least three years of experience in providing technical solutions to software problems, either written or verbally
• Basic English and grammar skills
• Ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects of various sizes and topics
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a focus on customer support

• Legal background or knowledge of e-discovery procedures desirable
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is a must
• Advanced analytical skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving project requirements and priorities
