Job description

You are all about the hunt. Landing that first meeting is what makes you tick.

You are not content leaving an industry event until you have three solid leads. Given a paperclip and some wonder glue It takes you an hour to build a complete org chart of a target company (ok, a computer may be involved, as well). You are not afraid to pick up the phone and network your way into the most intimidating organizations. You seek out C-Level decision makers and work relentlessly to get just a moment of their time. Circumventing the gate-keepers comes naturally to you. They may say “no” but you hear “try harder”.  You are able to do all of this without coming across as pushy or annoying.

We’re looking for someone who knows a thing or two about selling professional services in the software space. We have no price sheets or model for you to follow – define your own methods to hit the goals. We sell highly sophisticated services and your approach to selling must convey the creativity, technical acumen, and raw delivery capacity of one of the leading technology consultancies in Chicago.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate and engage directly in market-facing activities (e.g., trade associations, boards, conferences and other client-facing activities);
  • Assume a leadership role for Stage 0 deals including New Business Meeting presentation and material creation;
  • Personally develop and sustain relationships with potential clients through personal meetings, presentations, business networking and/or other business or social gatherings;
  • Identify and qualify specific sales opportunities and effectively transition the opportunities to capture teams ;
  • Understand and stay current with technology trends and new solutions in the market;
  • Understand the strengths and weaknesses of different technology solutions; effectively articulate Devbridge Group solution offerings and capabilities;
  • Focus is on originating profitable deals that can be successfully closed and delivered as sold.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • 3+ years’ experience in one of the following: IT solutions, services; consulting services;
  • Experience selling in competitive markets and assessing multiple solutions and system integrators;
  • Understanding of software technologies;
  • Experience managing opportunity pipelines;
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills – both written and verbal;
  • Unquestionable integrity, credibility and character;
  • Experience creating and presenting executive level briefings and sales data analysis;
  • Previous experience in conceptualizing, planning, and implementing new products or services for a large business entity;
  • Strong ownership, problem solving, and decision making abilities;
  • Ability to interface and negotiate with senior executives.
