Position Summary:

Position Title:  Sales Lead

Reports to:  CEO

Supervises:  Sales Associates

Collaborates with:  Implementation and Client Services, Technology, Product Development, Service Information teams

Position Description:

The Sales Lead will guide NowPow’s commercial selling strategy in existing and new geographies. This person sits at the helm of relationship building with key stakeholders across the country, helping to bring elegant technology to the people who need it most. The Sales Lead will be responsible with selling to both “sides” of NowPow’s multi-sided technology platform (“makers” and “takers” of referrals) as well as across multiple sectors like healthcare, criminal justice and affordable housing.  Finally, the Sales Lead will also oversee selling initiatives in the research and academic segments initially on an opportunistic basis.  The Sales lead will represent NowPow in a variety of settings, including high-profile meetings, conferences, and events.

 Responsibilities:

  • Identify customer segmentation and create appropriate selling strategies for each segment
  • Determine appropriate selling organization to support selling strategy and manage hiring process sensitive to NowPow’s ability to cash flow new hires
  • Prioritize selling efforts, lead initial meetings for high-priority opportunities and manage relationships and oversee all ongoing sales meetings and relationship development
  • Oversee management of NowPow’s CRM system including contact information, leads, opportunities, and projects to include ensuring all information is updated to allow meaningful reporting
  • Develop and present pricing proposals as requested; iterate on pricing model as needed
  • Prepare revenue forecast monthly and develop sales reporting that adequately monitors sales activity
  • Participate in strategic decision making meetings with leadership team and advisors
  • Lead weekly sales team check in with CEO
  • Manage and develop sales team associates, including holding weekly/bi-monthly check-ins
  • Collaborate with Marketing (when staffed) to ensure sales associates have all necessary materials to present NowPow effectively including iterating pitch decks and brochures as needed for specific audiences
  • Work with Marketing team to manage NowPow’s participation in trade shows and conferences
  • Participate in developing new content creation for sales and marketing efforts (e.g. product descriptions)
  • Provide customer feedback and input into New Product Development

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Comfort working in a start-up environment and leading a growing team
  • Experience managing a growing team of sales associates
  • Extremely detail-oriented with excellent follow through and follow up skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with healthcare ecosystem and health IT industry is ideal
  • Public speaking experience
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and strong track record of setting and meeting delivery commitments
  • The ability to be candid and forthright and conduct oneself with maturity and integrity in all situations
  • Charismatic attitude and willingness to work on a dynamic mixture of tasks no matter how big or small
  • Commitment to social impact initiatives and helping underserved communities
  • Familiarity with healthcare ecosystem and health IT industry is ideal
  • Comfortable with using technology in the workplace to include Client Relationship Management (CRM) tools, MailChimp or other similar mass communication platforms, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite and similar creative tools
