ParkWhiz is looking for an experienced scrum master take on planning, leading, organizing, and motivating project teams to achieve a high-level of performance and quality by owning and managing the agile process. You will be the driving force behind agile at ParkWhiz, as well as help manage projects that are not yet being done in an agile manner. Your efforts at ParkWhiz will lead to more predictable, reliable, incremental development.

Here are some examples of the types of things you will do at ParkWhiz:

• Ensure Scrum best practices are implemented effectively and provide coaching to team to maximize value.
• Work with product owner to ensure preparedness of user stories, acceptance criteria, and definitions of done.
• Ensure definitions of done are comprehensive and lead to shippable software. Work with product owner, other stakeholders, and the scrum team to verify that all needed testing and QA, integration, or other tasks are accounted for, and no gaps prevent delivery.
• Coordinate and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint and release planning, and sprint retrospectives.
• For projects not using agile practices, evaluate the needs and, when agile would better facilitate meeting the goals, implement agile processes while achieving buy-in and training staff as needed. Evaluate and thoughtfully recommend the application of waterfall, scrum, kanban, or other development methodologies appropriate to a given situation.
• Track and make readily available the status of all ongoing development projects, including number of stories and points completed and outstanding, release dates, and known risks and impediments.
• Work with developers who are not using scrum, to ensure their projects have appropriate levels of planning, scoping, and reasonably short delivery timeframes. Prevent never-ending or open-ended projects.
