Senior GIS Solution Architect

Company:  Are you passionate about advanced mobile geospatial technologies? Would you like to be part of a team that is developing advanced GIS technologies to solve the challenges facing the energy and infrastructure industries?  LocusView, a start-up company funded by the Gas Technology Institute, develops mobile GIS solutions for the utility and pipeline industries and we are looking for fantastic people to join our growing team.

Job Description:  LocusView is seeking a Senior GIS Solution Architect to assist with the development of mobile GIS technologies and the integration of these tools with other enterprise systems including asset management and work management systems.    

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • ESRI ArcGIS for Server 10.1+
  • Enterprise application management and support
  • Windows server environments
  • SQL Server/ArcSDE
  • Experience designing, maintaining, and supporting robust server-based map services
  • Experience with commercial project implementation
  • Quick learner that easily assimilates to new technologies
  • Effective communications skills
  • Ability to work independently and provide in-depth troubleshooting with clients
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably from a scientific, computer science or engineering related field
  • 10+ years of IT or GIS experience

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • ArcGIS Online
  • Android, Windows 8, iOS
  • Smallworld
  • Amazon EC2 or other cloud environments
  • IT security
  • Bluetooth protocols
  • Utility or pipeline experience
  • Experience or exposure to start-up environment

Arrangement:  This position is located in Chicago. This position may require up to 25% travel.
