Job Description

Vivid Seats is looking for a Senior iOS Software Engineer to join our Mobile App Team. You’ll join a team of mobile and full stack engineers, contributing to the fast-growing Vivid Seats mobile platform. Our iOS app is written entirely in Swift deploying a suite of modern technology (Realm, Alamofire, and more) on top of it. We focus on features such as browsing and searching for tickets, viewing tickets in your mobile ticket wallet, and personalization by connecting Spotify/iTunes. 

 

This is a hands-on position that will tackle some of our most difficult challenges innovating a mobile marketplace. You’ll work with business stakeholders to define and implement features that maximize value for the mobile team. As a technical subject matter expert on your team, you’ll also mentor engineers, bring new solutions to the table, and challenge the team to continuously improve.  

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, develop, and maintain the Vivid Seats iOS app
  • Proactively enhance our platform and implement best practice coding standards to create the best possible experience for our users
  • Work closely with Product, QA, and Design teams to prototype and implement creative solutions in an agile environment

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 4+ years developing mobile apps for iOS (Objective-C or Swift), experience with Android, Java, or React Native a plus
  • Strong knowledge of consuming REST APIs and backend services, with experience building APIs a plus
  • Passion for mobile platforms and keeping up with the latest technologies, usability, and user experience
  • Familiarity with agile development cycles, continuous integration & rapid prototyping
  • A creative and organized developer who thrives in both an independent and small team environment
  • Must be able to learn new technologies with enthusiasm and a high degree of efficiency
