Senior Product Manager

As a Senior Product Manager at Reverb.com, you will drive the creation of engaging products and delightful experiences that help our customers make the world a more musical place. You must be wildly passionate about building what our customers need and tireless about defining and advocating for product strategies that evolve our business.
Senior product managers are expected to manage multiple initiatives across several work streams, championing the planning and prioritization process, ensuring initiatives are effectively executed in a way that allows us to learn from our work, and mentoring other members of the product team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver long-term product strategies.
- Define strategic initiatives that deliver on company objectives and goals.
- Understand our users using qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Engage our users and internal teams to gather product ideas and identify unmet user needs.
- Monitor our competitors and industry trends to understand market opportunities.
- Own the planning process for specific areas of our products.
- Work with stakeholders, designers and developers to build a feasible roadmap of initiatives and feature iterations that quickly deliver value to our users while building upon and amplifying the effects of previous work.
- Create an effective feedback loop that incorporates previous learnings into future initiatives and feature iterations.
- Lead the execution of product roadmaps through roll out.
- Prioritize development backlogs, ensuring the most valuable work is always top of mind.
- Clearly communicate objectives, goals and strategy to project teams, empowering everyone to be creative about how to address each opportunity.
- Approach each initiative with an experimental attitude, defining hypotheses, intended outcomes, and ensuring we can measure and learn from each piece of work.
- Provide development teams with a clear definition of the work, including business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Define feature rollout plans that effectively introduce our users to new features.
- Monitor the feature performance and analyze the outcome of all released work, articulating what we learned and developing new hypotheses based on the outcomes.
Requirements:
- Strong technical or product background with an aptitude for connecting insights and creating novel product ideas that resonate with users.
- Innate understanding of technology and how to use it to deliver innovative products.
- Experience delivering successful products in a fast-paced, agile environment where collaboration across teams and departments is the norm.
- Excellent communication skills, including an aptitude for understanding user needs, knowing when to listen to alternative perspectives, conveying complex ideas in a simple and effective manner, and ensuring teams are always in the loop.
- The ability to quickly synthesize information and clearly articulate next steps.
- Comfort using SQL to pull data and generate insights that lead to product improvements and new features.
- BA required; MBA a plus.
- Coding experience is a strong bonus.
