Job DescriptionWhat You’ll Do:
As the Program Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of programs and projects, driving the execution of Products and Services development and release to the market. In this role you’re responsible for the successful execution of projects within the defined time, budget, scope and quality (key success criteria) boundaries. You’ll serve as the key coordinator and communicator for all groups/departments associated with the successful delivery to our customers. You’ll lead projects from launch to completion, driving the planning, monitoring progress and reporting on execution.
- Define project scope and lead successful execution
- Drive delivery of products to customers that meet the needs of their end users
- Ensure Product, Design, Engineering, Sales, Marketing and QA have context as to the market and user problems
- Manage scope, schedules, and resources and report on status to ensure project teams operate on time and within budget
- Drive quality strategy, plans and controls on all project phases
- Manage project risks and issues; maintain mitigation and contingency plans
- Provide sound, pragmatic and result-oriented direction to project teams
- Manage and resolve conflict and escalate as appropriate
- Educate and enforce the use of Agile practices
- Manage the product development life cycle (involvement from concept to launch and support)
- Prioritize backlog items independent of or with Product Management based on Market/Customer/Product knowledge
- Assess market to develop more strategic and business objectives with Product Management
- Serve as the educator and creator of standards, best practices and metrics
- Implement accountability measures across teams
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or IT; Master’s degree and/or a certificate in Program Management preferred
- 10+ years’ experience in Software products development/engineering or IT services
- 5+ years of program management experience in product development lifecycle with an emphasis on Product Development and Go-To-Market marketing, procurement, component development, system integration, testing, approvals and production readiness
- Proven track record in project management, driving multiple projects in cross-functional, global and customer-centric organizations
- Strong understanding of Product and Software Development Lifecycles in addition to Agile practices
- Capability for planning, scheduling and monitoring allocated resources and costs and identify gaps
- Familiarity with software management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Basecamp, Zephyr)
- Knowledge of Software, Web, iOS/Android, Cloud based technologies, IT architectures and infrastructures management, data management, BI and security
