Senior Visual Designer
SpotHero is seeking someone who will help lead and implement the strategic design process at SpotHero - from research through implementation. This individual will enhance the SpotHero brand through artful design. He or she should have a deep understanding of and appreciation for aesthetics, allowing him or her to leverage visual design to solve business problems. This person must have the ability to think big picture and come up with strategy and concepts, but also execute on fine details. Our ideal candidate is used to working in an all-hands-on-deck environment, where you see the direct results of your hard work.
Who we are: SpotHero is a rapidly growing tech company that’s making life easier for the daily driver. Drivers across the nation use the SpotHero mobile app or website to reserve discounted parking on-the-go or in advance.
What will I do?
- Own SpotHero design and creative expression across all communication channels, both online and offline.
- Strategize campaign ideas, coming up with overarching creative campaigns and goals.
- Work within the marketing team to make sure SpotHero look and feel is communicated properly
- Solve business problems through design
- You’ll own and execute all creative marketing deliverables including but not limited to, billboards, email templates, office decor and business cards.
- Work alongside a branding agency to learn, live, breathe SpotHero brand and make sure these branding guidelines are adhered to across the company
- Collaborate with a product designer to ensure marketing and product design are consistent
- Own the printing process, working with vendors to make sure marketing materials are printed properly (understanding printing process, bleed, crop marks, etc.)
You are:
- Scrappy: able to keep up with the fast-paced, scrappy nature of a startup. You get your hands dirty in a lot of different categories including copywriting, production, management.
- Timely: judged on criteria of timeliness of deliverability, know how to properly prioritize, time management, never miss a deadline, ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communicative: communicating ideas to internal teams in a convincing and engaging manner.
- Analytical: You’re never a pixel off, your files are organized.
- Self-starter: Don’t wait to be told. Come up with your own ideas and provide an implementation plan.
- Strategic: Develop, test and refine ideas. Ability to problem solve through creative deliverables.
- Adobe expert: familiar with creative suite software including video production
Pre-Requisites:
- 3 to 5 years of creative experience at a leading consumer brand or agency
- Experience transforming a young, innovative brand into a widely recognized and respected household name
- Extensive portfolio of work across multiple communications channels, including online (web, mobile, display, email) and offline (print, direct mail, signage).
- Strong design background
- Incredibly smart, hard working, exceptional communication skills & nice
