The person in this role will be an integral part of the marketing team, with a primary focus in social media execution. He or she will help connect Reverb’s social media strategy with all marketing initiatives by maximizing existing campaigns and creating new ones.
Social media serves many marketing functions: promotions, community building, artist engagement, discussion forum, PR, customer service, and more. Please submit a cover that describes why you're a great fit!
Responsibilities:
- Production and/or reporting on all social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, and others).
- Reaching out within (and outside of) the company to develop a broad array of content; regularly using peer input and conduct research.
- Developing the “Reverb voice” to build community across genres, networks, and categories.
- Protecting the integrity of Reverb’s reputation as an authority in the gear world – this includes aggressive fact-checking and painstaking attention to detail (grammar, spelling, other writing essentials).
- Assisting with Reverb’s broader marketing communication strategy.
- Providing production and content support for marketing email.
- Participating in content initiatives; may include writing blog articles, email or ad copy.
- Monitoring and responding to social media inquiries; conduct customer service via social (some evening and weekend availability will be required).
Requirements:
- Familiarity with music gear-- brands and history.
- Deep knowledge of the social media landscape -- past, present and future direction.
- Expertise for how brands and individuals use and engage through social media.
- A proactive approach to identify trends in social.
- Proven track record of successfully operating on tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Strong writing skills with a willingness to adapt.
- Motivation to continuously reinvent our approach to social media strategy.
