MAIN COURSE (Job Responsibilities)

We are looking for a passionate social media expert who will bring energy, curiosity, and talent to the Pampered Chef each day, and help take the Pampered Chef’s social strategy to the next level. This position is responsible for creating, editing, distributing, and optimizing relevant, contextual, and personalized content across social media platforms to attract, engage, and retain our customers and consultants.  

 

Specifically this position is responsible for:

 

  • Daily management of Pampered Chef’s social media properties, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, LinkedIn;
  • Managing the Pampered Chef’s social editorial calendar, working across multiple cross-functional teams;
  • Creating, editing, and publishing content to social media platforms;
  • Working across multiple functional areas to ensure that our social marketing strategy supports consumer and consultant initiatives as needed to promote our brand in social;
  • Continuously monitoring, measuring, and reporting social media activities, trends, and content/campaign results, and delivering insights to drive continuous improvement and reinvestment strategies;
  • Replying and responding to comments on social media channels, blogs, ratings, and reviews, etc., and monitoring public conversations via listening platform;
  • Flagging potential negative issues, alerting key stakeholders, and/or developing an action plan or response as appropriate;
  • Partnering with field and customer service teams to escalate and resolve inquiries and conflicts;
  • Providing training on social media best practices to our coworkers and community of independent business owners (consultants);
  • Serving as a company subject matter expert for social media sites such as Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook;
  • Leveraging consumer research to promote and optimize content that resonates with customer segments;
  • Conducting research to identify social media best practices, trends, sites, and platforms that will be used to hone and improve strategy, campaigns, and programs; and
  • Managing and prioritizing work effectively to ensure internal deadlines, timetables, and approvals are met.

 

 

KEY INGREDIENTS (Position Requirements)

  • Academic background in marketing, advertising, communications, journalism, or related field. Undergraduate college degree minimum, MBA a plus.
  • 2+ years experience and demonstrated social media experience, including writing, editing, and publishing content for specific audiences.
  • Strong competency and experience with using social media, personally and professionally.
  • Experience with key technology enablers, including, but not limited to, social media publishing and monitoring applications (Sprout Social, Netbase, Adobe Social, Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Crimson Hexagon, Radian6, or similar), website analytics (Adobe or Google), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver), and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, including proficiency in copywriting, proofreading, critiquing, and instructing others.
  • Experience analyzing data, identifying trends, summarizing results, and making recommendations based on findings.
  • Experience working across an organization and creating solid partnerships with all relevant stakeholders to gather business requirements and set priorities for social media initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Project management excellence; attention to detail; keep commitments, big and small.

Addison in a village located in the Chicago Metropolitan Area in DuPage County. Pampered Chef is Addison's largest private employer and has had a great relationship with the Village for decades! The village is known for it's great restaurants, adventurous recreational activities, and amazing people.
