Vokal, a leading Digital Experience Agency, is looking for a talented Business Designer / Strategist to join our growing team. The Vokal Business Strategist is an extremely curious, intelligent, and collaborative individual who will work with our Product Ownership and Project Management teams to oversee and expand existing client relationships at Vokal.

The Business Strategist develops day-to-day client relationships and drives business through innovative digital experiences. They are the link that connects Vokal to our clients - facilitating communication between external clients and internal teams, which is essential. The Business Strategist knows how to represent Vokal’s ideas as strongly as they can represent our clients’ wishes. At the end of the day, they help lead their team to identify and implement amazing, ground-breaking solutions that solve our client’s business problems. They build and foster relationships, help generate growth for Vokal and our clients, and help put the team in a position to deliver exceptional digital solutions.

Ideally, you should already have a comprehensive understanding of the digital landscape and how to leverage emerging technologies in order to drive value for an organization. Day-to-day activities include direct communication with clients, participation in project meetings, and generating and delivering inspiring new opportunities to build incredible experiences for our clients.

Position Responsibilities

  • Act as ambassador of the client’s business goals and expectations throughout the project process, and facilitate meaningful discussions with business stakeholders to uncover valuable information for both the client and Vokal
  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to the client and the relationship
  • Continuously define strategic initiatives and create presentation materials in order to convey this information to the client
  • Be in tune with key account indicators including client satisfaction, business goals, sales targets, profitability, and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Collaborate with internal project teams to assemble material and people needed to ensure successful presentation to the client
  • Continually set appropriate engagement expectations for the client’s stakeholders and our internal teams
  • Work to grow existing accounts by making new connections, pitching growth projects, and expanding engagement scope
  • Facilitate meaningful and timely discussions with clients to outline and review industry trends, topics, and changes
  • Collaborate with cross-discipline teams within Vokal to outline and deliver presentations and demos on new trends in various industries
  • Generate and inspire new opportunities for our clients and their businesses while considering financial impact, risks, and market trends in order to document and communicate impact to stakeholders with a plan to address and sell into






Required Experience

  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience in consulting or digital client management
  • Experience taking an idea from theory and analysis into a market launch
  • Experience guiding the digital design process — from framing a business opportunity to digital design and product ecosystem recommendations
  • Experience with all types of creative activities to turn business, customer, and competitive insights into breakthrough new digital products and experiences
  • Experience facilitating brainstorms and workshops, creating exercises and stimulus to shape components for strategy and design
  • Experience building trust and partnerships with interdisciplinary teams of digital designers, engineers, and external clients and their stakeholders
  • Experience identifying, solving, and articulating complex business and product goals for external client relationships

  • A knack for making the complex simple, synthesizing multiple ideas into one clear bold statement or recommendation, and converting insight into opportunity
  • Superior visual, written and spoken communication skills to express concepts in ways that are captivating
  • Comfort interacting with a client’s stakeholders including C-level executives
  • A personality geared for participating in and leading presentations, meetings and collaborative sessions
  • Willing to travel and be on site with clients
  • Ability to understand how different areas of the organization, and external trends relate to one another
  • Ability to integrate ideas from many different areas into a common vision
