This role will work closely with our SVP, Operations to develop insights and execute complex market research studies to support strategic decisions. You will become a subject matter expert and create actionable, strategic intelligence that will support the growth of the business. Knowledge of research methods and data analytics are key to be successful in this role.
Operations is an exciting and growing area at GrubHub, and we are looking for disruptive, entrepreneurial individuals to help innovate and develop products in this space.
Responsibilities:
Develop market intelligence benchmarking to highlight consumer and competitor trends; including pricing, products, offers, promotions, service, etc.
Conduct in-depth market assessments to identify opportunities and risks
Research and provide recommendations on unique and competitive strategies that are in line with the goals of our Operations team
Identify, develop and drive long-term strategies based on fact-based analyses
Collect and analyze data from multiple sources and organize into actionable competitive information resources
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree – preferably Finance, Business,MIS and/or Marketing focus; MBA a plus
4-6 years related experience
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
Data-driven and impact oriented analytical skillset
Excellent written, communication and organizational skills
Strategic thinker with ability to understand long-term implications of business needs
Self-starter comfortable navigating grey areas
Ability to implement concepts, ideas and plans while functioning in a flexible, constantly changing environment
