About the Role:
We’re looking for a Talent Coordinator to team with our Office Manager and Director of Talent to create exceptional experiences for our existing and prospective employees. The Talent Coordinator is a jack-of-all-trades role and will have a hand in talent acquisition and office administration. This role requires strong communication skills, a great sense of humor and the ability to get things done.
Talent Acquisition Responsibilities:
- Schedule phone screens as well as on-site interviews and manage the on-site interview process for Narrative Science candidates.
- Coordinate all campus recruiting related activities and events.
- Post positions and maintain the general recruiting calendar. Assist with employee referral program.
- Run monthly recruiting and referral metrics for the team and department leaders to help guide recruiting activity.
- Work with the recruiting team, hiring managers, and IT teams to ensure onboarding of new candidates is a good experience for new hires.
Office Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Office Manager to coordinate vendor relationships related to the day-to-day activities of the office including: Building Management, Utilities, Suppliers, Shipping, etc.
- Keep the office and kitchen supplies well organized and fully stocked, and maintain the general office space.
- Track purchases of items for general office use including supplies, snacks, beverages, etc.
- Create a welcoming and professional first impression of the company by greeting visitors including investors, clients and prospective employees.
- Assist in the planning, organizing, and promoting of company events, meetings, weekly meals, happy hours, and gatherings.
- Provide light administrative support to the company’s Leadership Team as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and up to two years of experience in office administration or office management.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interact with a professional demeanor at all times, with all employees and levels of management across Narrative Science.
- Ability to anticipate needs and understand when a sense of urgency should be applied to a situation or request.
- Great attention to detail, strong project management skills and masterful organization skills required.
- A self-starter with experience working in a fast-paced environment and proof of adaptability to changing processes and workflow.
- Ability to contribute to the personality of the office environment with an outgoing, humorous, and fun loving attitude.
- Proficient with Google Apps for Work and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Previous work experience within Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition is a plus.
- Previous history of working within an applicant tracking system is preferred.
