Shipbob is looking to grow aggressively in 2018 and beyond with the help of some exceptional people!  We are seeking to bring in a technical recruiter who is self-driven, enthusiastic and incredibly fun to work within our HR Recruitment team in Chicago. You must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Technical Recruiting. 

Background

ShipBob is a Y-Combinator (YC14) startup that provides an end-to-end fulfillment and logistics solution for growing e-commerce companies. We level the playing field for everyone that isn't Amazon by using multiple e-commerce integrations, inventory management technology, and ShipBob's custom built dashboard.  This allows small companies to thrive while giving them time to focus on more important parts of their business.

ShipBob has grown quickly in the last three years.  We recently raised $17.5 million in capital and currently process hundreds of thousands of e-commerce orders per month via fulfillment centers in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles,  SF and Dallas.  As we continue to build out our organization we are looking for an exceptional technical recruiter to join the team at our Chicago HQ.

When will I start?

The sooner the better – this is a new role and we are eager to bring this person onboard ASAP.  Ideal candidates would be able to start no later than December 1st. 

Who will I report to?

This role will report directly into the COO and founder, Divey Gulati.

What will I do?

·      Conduct in-depth screenings and assess potential candidates for level of interest, technical skills, qualifications, and compensation

·      Convert hard to find passive talent through an understanding of the business and employee value proposition.

·      Develop a broad professional network of top technology talent.

·      Stay current on market trends and innovative sourcing practices.

What will I make?

ShipBob offers a competitive base salary and bonus structure which we will discuss with qualified candidates during the initial interview.

Requirements

·       3 year Technical Recruiting experience

·       Passion for and success in attracting, assessing, and closing highly skilled candidates.

·       Detailed knowledge of the Chicago technical recruiting scene.

·       Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems

·       Able to adapt and work in team-oriented environment

·       Spent time working across an entire organization, building relationships to understand the ins and outs of the whole business.

·       Humility; ability to step back and speak openly about mistakes.
