Job Summary:

RedShelf is a higher-ed tech startup based in Chicago, IL. Our mission is to help the learning community transition from print to digital course materials.

Over the past four years, RedShelf experienced 400% YOY growth, and we’re looking to add a talented and passionate Technical Recruiter to help strategically build out and grow our dynamic teams. 

The Technical Recruiter will focus in the areas of candidate talent search and engagement, as well as talent acquisition process improvement and strategy development. This is an excellent opportunity for a goal-orientated individual who strives in a fast pace and rewarding environment.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting process for our Business organization ensuring a seamless, uniform and incredibly positive candidate experience
  • Create a scalable process that meets the needs of our growing company
  • Partner with internal clients to develop sourcing strategy for current and future needs. Innovate on ways to build a talent pipeline and recruit in a variety of venues
  • Build strong pipeline to source and connect with potential candidates
  • Source candidates from relevant networks, online and internal databases, employee referrals and passive candidates through networking and research
  • Work internally with RedShelf hiring managers to understand positions and team needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of corporate and/or agency technical recruiting experience including sourcing and full cycle recruiting
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships
  • Experience building and driving talent sourcing initiatives
  • Experience working with recruiting and people-related tools and systems, including applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse), resume databases, internet sourcing tools and complex spreadsheets
  • Solid communication skills, organizational and negotiation skills, with a keen focus on delivering business results
  • Ability to execute recruiting strategy, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management

Other Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge and appreciation of the advances in higher educational software, course materials, and digital publishing
  • Background and/or experience in educational technology and/or publishing
  • Comfort and/or experience in a startup environment
  • Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision
