VP/Sr. Director, Clinical and Quality Informatics
- Build the case for (or against) for action: Develop, implement and refine top-down approach to connect health system priorities and metrics (e.g., quality, patient experience, staff experience) to high value opportunity areas for innovation. Deploy the approach across topics, in a manner that communicates relative opportunity across topics and alternatives to health system executive audiences. Present compelling impact stories from the data.
- Estimate & measure impact: Develop, implement and refine outcomes measurement approaches that are implementable for early stage technologies. This leader will interpret technology company data, normalize results, identify proxies and early indicators, using a variety of techniques from data aggregation to more complex statistical analyses. Pre-implementation, offer member health systems external viewpoint on success metrics to measure and stage gates to scale. Post-implementation, lead approach to measuring and normalizing impact.
- Market research: Research market trends in healthcare, technology, health finance and policy, with a focus on healthcare finance metrics. Synthesize from many sources to identify implications of market intelligence for AVIA products.
- Company research: Assist teams researching innovative digital solutions companies, including product demos and management team conversations. In particular, assess segments within a solution space from a metrics lens.
- Preference for experience as a healthcare provider (e.g. RN, MD, DO, Therapist, etc)
- Graduate degree (e.g. Clinical Informatics, MBA, MPH, etc)
- 15+ years of experience building programs for clinical, quality, and outcomes measurement
- Strong understanding of industry trends including Value-Based Care, Population Health and Clinical Performance Measures
- Experience facilitating discussion with executive audiences
- Critical thinking, strong judgment and ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with clients and colleagues
- Identify signal in the noise; synthesize information from disparate sources and identify the interrelationships and dependencies
- Comfort coupling qualitative and quantitative data and practical sense
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong communicator, in both speech and writing
- Enthusiasm to join an entrepreneurial team and an environment that requires adaptability, comfort with ambiguity, intrinsic motivation, and “doing what it takes”
- Able to travel ~20%
