Job Purpose:
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) team at Caterpillar is on a journey to modernize our IAM tools and solutions. We are looking for individuals with a passion for learning and ability to thrive in a high performing team environment. As an IAM Federation Analyst, you will be responsible start to finish for registering applications to use Azure AD and Azure B2C authentication. This will include applications using Open ID Connect, SAML 2.0, as well as APIs protected by OAuth. The products we use are Azure AD, Azure AD B2C, PingFederate, and PingAccess. Ideal candidates will have a deep technical knowledge in the IAM space.
Description:
- Programming, development, integration, and system administration assignments without close supervision
- Working on complex application/technical problem resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls
- Working independently on complex systems in support of infrastructure component change management
- Performing integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of system component updates that require careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results
- Closing all vulnerabilities and keeping the products you own on a version within 1 major release of the most recent release
- Performing integration tasks for in-house developed systems and/or purchased hardware and software solutions
- Assist business partners with documentation, training, and usability efforts
IAM Federation Analyst Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining Subject Matter Expertise on Identity and Access Management disciplines, such as: Authentication, Authorization, Federation, Access Management, Directory, etc.
- Implementing, onboarding, and supporting the following products enterprise-wide at Caterpillar: Azure AD App registration and Enterprise Apps, Azure B2C Federation, PingFederate, and PingAccess
- Working with Caterpillar Partners and Customers to implement Bring your own Identity federations.
- Working independently to gain understanding of the IAM solutions through product documentation
- Working with application teams to migrate and adopt the IAM solutions
- Ensuring IAM solutions are well documented and easily consumable service offerings
- Ensuring IAM solutions reduce the overall information risk profile of Caterpillar
- Ensuring IAM solutions are implemented to support on-premise, hybrid, and cloud applications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in computer science or equivalent technical experience
- Knowledge of Federated Identity and Single Sign-On concepts
- Knowledge OAuth and OpenID
- Knowledge of SAML, WS-Fed, WS-Trust, LDAP
- General networking, including HTTP/S, TCP/IP, load balancers, firewalls, proxies and familiarity with tools for troubleshooting such as Fiddler and Postman
Top Candidate Will Also Have:
- Proven track record of implementing an IAM solution in a previous job role
- Experience implementing Azure AD Authentication and Ping Identity products
- Understanding of PKI and certificates
- Authentication technologies (Kerberos, multi-factor, mutual TLS, etc.)
- Experience working with a Windows/Linux environment
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
