Paralegal (Hybrid)
The health and safety of Enova’s employees is our number one priority. Paralegal
You will report to: Associate General Counsel
About the role:
Enova is currently searching for a talented, energetic and detail-oriented Paralegal who is a good planner and meets deadlines without exception. The Paralegal will be responsible for the Company’s licensing function and will be given other projects related to: (1) litigation; (2) subpoenas; (3) regulatory matters; and (4) other ad hoc projects as attorneys may assign.
What you’ll be doing:
- You will be responsible for planning and executing the company's licensing functions and performance to align with the company's objectives. This includes adequately planning for, and meeting, internal deadlines and regulatory agency-imposed deadlines.
- You will manage all license applications, Secretary of State registrations, and renewals for the company: acquire licenses and communicate with regulators, external counsel, and members of the legal, operations, and executive teams.
- You will partner with the company's legal and operations teams to maintain licenses and Secretary of State registrations, and to develop and maintain licensing policies and procedures used on a day-to-day basis.
- You will work on litigation projects, as directed, which may include simple pleadings, discovery, and settlement negotiations.
- You will coordinate the company’s subpoena response process, including gathering the relevant documentation and preparing a response on behalf of the company.
- You will work with attorneys and the business on issues relating to inquiries from regulators, including reports and exams.
We’re excited about you if you have:
- Have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (required)
- Have a paralegal certificate (required)
- At least4 years of paralegal experience (required)
- Licensing legal experience, including but not limited to completing licensing applications, renewals, annual reports, change notifications, and Secretary of State registrations and renewals a plus
- Related industry experiences (i.e., lending or finance industry) a plus
- Have litigation experience, including but not limited to responding to subpoenas, and assisting attorneys with litigation matters
- Are a self-starter, good planner, extremely detail-oriented and can meet deadlines without exception
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Outlook, and Excel) and Internet Explorer
- Are capable of performing legal research relating to licensing and compliance issues
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills; you are able to demonstrate the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, State, Federal, and Foreign regulatory agencies as necessary
