As Senior Product Manager, you will own the technology product roadmap for consolidations execution, a major area of strategic investment for Flexport. In this global role, you will build orchestration systems required to efficiently move consolidated freight across Flexport’s air, ocean, trucking and warehousing network. You will define our long-term automation strategy for carrier integrations and develop state-of-the-art transportation & warehousing management systems that will result in millions of dollars of cost savings and lower overall prices for our customers.
You will:
- Partner closely with our Business, Operations, Engineering, Data Science and UX Design teams to develop the 3-5 year vision consolidation execution capabilities for Flexport’s rapidly expanding freight forwarding network.
- Work on pioneering supply chain automation and optimization technologies for the global freight forwarding industry.
- Design and build scalable execution coordination systems that power best-in-class customer experience in terms of cost, reliability and speed of consolidated freight.
- Define yearly technology roadmaps that drive exponentially growth in net revenue for Flexport’s consolidation freight business.
You are:
- A technical product management leader with 8-10 years of experience. You’ve launched several large scale and seriously complex initiatives, including building great user experiences for business, operations and technical users alike.
- Deeply knowledgeable about supply chain technologies - You have worked on operations and supply chain technologies related to execution, orchestration and automation of logistics networks.
- Experienced in building warehousing and transportation management systems related to cross-docking facilities, inventory & yard management, appointment scheduling, fleet management and dispatching systems.
- A strong advocate for your customers. You’re never satisfied with the status quo and constantly seek to improve the lives of your customers.
- Comfortable working independently, and in ambiguous situations. You dive deep, and can act fast and scrappy when needed, while never losing sight of the big picture.
- Technically competent - you can discuss APIs and services with engineers (but you don’t need to be able to write code!)
- Obsessed with using data to make tough Product decisions related to priority, roadmaps and trade-offs.
- An effective communicator. You write strong, well-structured documents related to strategy and product requirements, and drive consensus across functions and teams.
- You care about team culture and want to help Flexport scale our organization by improving our processes
