We are seeking a retail-savvy Associate Buyer to assist in driving the growth of Groupon Goods, our newly launched online retail arm dedicated to featuring great deals on great products. This role would be responsible for sourcing cool and innovative products that our customers will love.  
 
The Associate Buyer assists the Buyer in expanding selection by setting up new products, maintaining the product catalog, and organizing samples. 

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Product/Deal Sourcing to locate products to fulfill deal requests
• Keep current with industry trends to ensure we are offering enticing products to our consumers
• Enter data into lead management system (SalesForce) and keep records current
• Must be able to influence and work well other departments
   

Basic Qualifications: ​

• 2 to 3 years experience in retail buying or merchandising (e - commerce experience preferred) with a strong desire to progress career within the merchandising industry
• Bachelors degree preferred
• Demonstrated analytical acumen with detail oriented approach to generating and managing reporting and data entry.
• Ability to handle fast paced environment and change gears quickly
• Candidate must have demonstrated a high degree of flexibility, focus, and accountability in meeting weekly deadlines and moving targets with an understanding of impact to category P&L
• The ideal candidate has a track record of successful relationship building and management with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Evidence of having researched product landscape to keep current with industry trends - proven ability to source and curate assortments that optimize sales, profit, and the consumer experience
• Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite with proof of business-polished written and verbal communication
• Possible travel (up to 10%) to trade shows
