About the Role:

The Backend Engineer designs, architects, and engineers our FinTech Platform. The Backend Engineer has experience working on the full lifecycle of a SaaS development project and works well in a collaborative team environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Understanding how to work with several languages, frameworks, and databases including Python, Flask, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Apache, Bash, etc.
• Collaborating with your team to design new enhanced features; successfully integrating data between various systems
• Ensuring the scalability and quality of all code.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related software engineering field or other formal technical training
• 3+ years experience, with focus on Python
• Technical skills to include:
  • Flask, SQLAlchemy, Jinja2
  • Docker
  • Git
  • AWS
  • SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis)
  • Servers (e.g. SQLAlchemy, Nginx, Haproxy)
  • Bash
• Ability to learn quickly, take ownership, and provide direction on projects that involve various functions and levels of co-workers
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
