Associate Engagement Editor
About the Role
Before the U.S. markets open, this editor will ensure our newsletters have the most relevant information investors need to start their days through our editorial newsletters, under the direction of senior editors. This editor will then shift their focus to listening to social conversations and sharing relevant research, articles, videos, and podcasts on Morningstar’s branded channels and coordinating with our analysts to share their own original work. Other duties as assigned will include website editing tasks, headline testing, studying performance data, and coordinating with researchers, marketers, designers, and videographers.
Please note that this role works nontraditional hours, starting before U.S. market open.
Job Responsibilities
_Manages content and completes final testing for newsletter sends
_Writes and publishes social media posts across Morningstar channels
_Coordinates with Morningstar researchers to share their own work online
_Uses social listening tools to identify investing conversations on social media in coordination with marketing team
_Delivers insights to the editorial leaders for the day ahead
_Conducts headline testing and reviews data from newsletters sends and social posting
_Coordinates content management for podcasts
_Serves as liaison to publish embargoed content with media relations team
_Coordinates with design on management of visuals
Qualifications
_3-5 years of experience in journalism or social media management, and ideally some combination of both at a prominent digital news organization
_Superb communication skills, both verbal and written
_Demonstrated ability to work with editors, writers, marketers, designers, and subject-matter experts
_Excellent organization and attention to detail
_Experience with AP Style
