We are seeking a creative, savvy and analytically-minded digital content executive to join the content acquisition team. This leader will be responsible for helping to define and execute a content acquisition strategies with major artists, labels, network groups and global content partners.

Join us and, over the next 6-9 months, you will have successfully:

  • Execute US domestic and/or international SVOD content licensing agreements on behalf of LMP with artists, labels, network groups and global content partners
  • Develop content acquisition plans, financial metrics, and goals for senior management
  • Establish and manage strong relationships with content providers at a senior level
  • Lead all aspects of content licensing negotiations, including content selection, financial analysis, forecasting, and technical requirements
  • Proactively identify and develop new ideas, with a focus on new revenue opportunities and scaling projects that drive operating efficiency and structure agreements across key partners in line with overall goals and strategy.
  • Develop deal strategy, formulate key terms including all related analysis, strategizing and planning for a variety of complex agreements with relevant stakeholders.
  • Own the preparation of valuation analyses (model building, scenario testing, etc) to support deal team across negotiations.
  • Relentlessly accountable for data-driven business results, and restlessly passionate about continuing to iterate to improve.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across all functional areas within LMP to define content strategies and to execute content licensing agreements (e.g., legal, finance, marketing, etc.)
  • Maintain a can-do attitude and willingness and flexibility to solve problems at short notice, using any tools necessary

Key Responsibilities

  • Own deal architecture, development and day-to-day business affairs matters in connection with content acquisition.
  • Build and manage a high performing team that is tightly integrated to key stakeholders, including all of the teams that generate content, analyze support quality.
  • Own analysis of key business drivers, trends and performance indicators (market research, tracking and compiling industry trends and competitive analysis).
  • Proactively identify and develop new ideas, with a focus on new revenue opportunities and scaling projects that drive operating efficiency and structure agreements across key partners in line with overall goals and strategy.
  • Develop deal strategy, formulate key terms including all related analysis, strategizing and planning for a variety of complex agreements with studios, production companies, writers, actors, producers, publishers and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Own the preparation of valuation analyses (model building, scenario testing, etc) to support deal team across negotiations.
  • Regularly liaise with to drive and synthesize analysis and planning and ensure execution of deals in line with company strategies.
  • Lead creation of C-suite presentations and updates that summarize analysis and highlight key deal-related structuring and economic considerations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, JD or MBA required.
  • Deep understanding of the media business, including key players, business models, competitive forces, and strategic issues.
  • Creative, strategic and analytical thinker and problem solver. Thinks out of the box and is able to comfortably identify solutions to ambiguous issues.
  • Advanced experience as a key team member of complex deal negotiations in excess of several hundred millions of dollars.
  • Comfortable structuring, interpreting and overseeing drafting of contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to review, interpret and synthesize complex financial analyses.
  • Solid reputation as a leader.
  • Proven executive level written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence others’ points of view and/or create consensus.
  • Experience building, managing, coaching and developing a team.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Exceptional business acumen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or strong interest in music entertainment.
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced and highly changing environment with little guidance
